Coast Prickly Pear (Opuntia littoralis)

These prickly pear were photographed on the Baja Penninsula in Mexico. I believe they are the Coast prickly pear that grow in low, dense colonies. They are also know as Sprawling prickly pear for obvious reasons, and are found along the Southern California and Baja coast and up to dozens of miles inland.
